Hill Farmstead Named Best Brewery in the World for 2015

Greensboro Bend, Vt. (January 30, 2016) - Hill Farmstead Brewery has been named Best Brewery in the World for the year 2015, as well as Best Brewery in the United States and Vermont, by RateBeer, the world’s largest, most popular beer review and rating website. This is the second year in a row and the third time in the past four years that the brewery has been honored as Best Brewery in the World, United States and Vermont.

The brewery’s Ann, a barrel-aged farmstead ale, was honored as Best Beer for Vermont. Seven of its beers were listed in the top 100 beers in the world by RateBeer, and six of its beers were honored in the Top 50 New Releases in the World.  In addition, its new brewery taproom was named Best Brewer Taproom in Vermont. Twenty of its beers were honored with medals during a live ceremony in Santa Rosa, Calif., including 10 Gold Medals.

The RateBeer awards are determined solely by the reviews of RateBeer’s millions of active members. RateBeer is home to the most experienced beer critics in the world with more than100 master beer tasters having over 5,000 documented beer reviews. RateBeer is also home to countless certified cicerones, GABF, GBBF and BJCP judges.

Hill Farmstead Brewery is humbled and grateful for the overwhelmingly positive support of the beer community, its members and our loyal fans. We look forward to continuing our work of providing the best beer in the world.

About Hill Farmstead Brewery

Hill Farmstead Brewery is the culmination of many years of travel and insight—of experience and education—of friendships and explorations. The brewery is the revival and continuation of 225 years of Hill heritage and hand crafted history in North Greensboro, Vermont. Its logo is retrieved from a sign that once hung in Aaron Hill's (our great-great-great-grandfather) tavern, just up the hill, in the early 1800s.
