2024 Eclipse Announcements

Order pick-ups will take place in the main brewery bottle shop. Please park in the designated parking areas.

Bottle Shop

Your order will be picked and packed when you arrive at the brewery. Please visit our Retail Shop, queue in the line on your right upon entry, and check-in with our staff at the podium. We will pull up your online order and take payment, and your order will be fulfilled as soon as possible.

If you would like to make any changes or add any offerings onto your order, you may do this at this point in time.

Bottle Shop

We strongly encourage that all orders are placed in advance through ourย online shop; this guarantees that the beer you are purchasing will be held for your scheduled pick-up, and that we will not sell out of that particular offering before your arrival. If you have not placed an order in advance, however, we can accommodate day-of orders onsite, subject to remaining availability of inventory.

Please bring a credit card for payment as we do not currently accept cash.

Bottle Shop

We are not allowing proxies at this time, all orders placed online must match the valid ID of the person picking up the order.

Bottle Shop

If unable to pick-up your order the day for which it was placed, we will void your order and you will not be charged.

We are not able to hold orders until the following day, or over the weekend for a pick-up the next week.

Bottle Shop

Although we do not accept growlers for return, we are able to re-fill and re-use your empty, clean growlers with any beer currently offered for growler fills in our Taproom.

Please see our Retail Shop page for the current availability of beer for our growler fills.

Bottle Shop

All of our canned beer is packaged and stored cold, and should be kept cold at all times. Thus, a cooler and ice is advisable if you are traveling a significant distance home.

All of our bottled beers are bottle conditioned and are stored at room temperature. These beers should not get hot, but they do not need to be chilled until you are ready to enjoy them.

Bottle Shop

Once an order has been submitted, it cannot be edited. However, you are welcome to place a second order under the same name. We are happy to combine your orders.

You can also always add any additional offerings onto an order that you have placed when you are here to purchase and pick-up your beer.

Bottle Shop

We have parking available in the lot immediately in front of our Retail Shop, including handicap accessible space.

We have a lot across Hill Road in front of Leaning Maples’ Woodcraft shop, and we have two lots along Hill Road in front of the stone walls.

Please follow any posted signage.

Onsite

Yes, we allow dogs (on a leash and well-supervised) outside of the Taproom on our lawn.

Please be courteous and pick-up after your pet.

Onsite

We periodically have food trucks scheduled at the brewery throughout the summer. Please see the schedule for the coming week on our website, here: https://hillfarmstead.com/location/onsite/

If we do not have a food vendor scheduled, we always have a variety of cheeses and marinated olives available for purchase. And also, please feel free to bring a picnic with you!

Onsite

There are several local restaurants in the area that have Hill Farmstead beer on draft. Please check out theย Beer Finderย on our website.ย Parker Pie, in nearby West Glover, often has several of our beers on tap.

Onsite

We do not offer official tours. However, visitors will quickly notice that our brew house and retail areas are within the same walls, so visitors will certainly have no problem seeing from whence the beer originates! During our normal business hoursโ€”every Wednesday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.โ€”we are happy to answer any of your questions, of course.

General, Tours

Yes, we do offer direct-to-consumer home delivery of our bottled beer to select states, currently Vt, Or, Pa, Va, and Washington D.C. Please see our website here for additional information: https://hillfarmstead.com/dtc-sales/

If we are not licensed in your state and you wish to be able to purchase our beers to be shipped to your home, please contact your legislators and implore them to make a change in the laws to allow us the opportunity!

Beer

Kegs are sold on a very limited basis to retail customers and may not always be available. Kegs are only available for certain social celebratory occasions, such as a wedding, milestone birthday, family reunion, etc., and are not available for personal consumption in a kegerator or home bar.

Please email our [email protected] email address to inquire.

Beer

We allow friendly, well-behaved dogs to visit us on the brewery grounds and in the bottle shop.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

It is the owner’s responsibility to clean up after them.

Dogs are not allowed in our tasting room due to food being served in there.

General

We donโ€™t have the storage space to accommodate prefilled growlers at this time, nor do we have the space/equipment to take returns of growlers and properly clean them.

We do refill our clean, well-kept growlers once they have been purchased.

Beer

Yes and no. Please consult our long-standing growler policy for details.

Beer

Each beer style varies. We recommend that you drink your growler within one week when kept unopened and refrigerated. Once it is opened you should drink it within two to three days at most. When a growler is opened air replaces the beer inside the growler and the remaining beer in the growler oxidizes quickly. Our draft beers are best served fresh, so enjoying them as soon as possible is always your best. Your growler should always be kept cold to ensure the highest quality, and if you are traveling, bring a cooler and some ice for best results.

Beer

Each beer style varies, but we recommend always storing them cold and enjoying within 3-4 weeks.

Beer

For all special releases: We require a credit card/debit card accompanied by a valid, legal picture ID that matches the name on the credit card (this excludes generic Visa/Mastercard gift cards).

For certain highly-limited releases, bottle limits are per person per release, not per person per day. If this is the case, we will note it in the release information.

Also, we understand that many Canadian banks are no longer printing names on credit/debit cards, so we will accommodate those of you visiting us from Canada so long as a valid, legal picture ID is presented with the credit/debit card (no gift cards).

Remember, this change does not apply to our ongoing releasesโ€”Anna, Florence, Dorothy, Arthur, Everett, Earl, George, etc.โ€”with normal bottle and can limits, nor does it apply to growlers of draft beer, beers by the glass onsite, and merchandise (for these, we accept credit/debit cards and gift cards).

Thank you for your understanding as we continue to improve our retail experience!

Beer

Vermont state laws prohibit a customer from opening their own containers at the brewery, including cans, bottles, and growlers that are purchased in our Retail Shop. Only staff may pour you a beer to drink while at the brewery.

Beer, General, Taproom

Yes, we offer cans for purchase to-go in our Retail Shop. Please see our website here for the current offerings available: https://hillfarmstead.com/location/retail-shop/

Beer

If you are located in Vermont, please contact Grassroots Distribution directly at [email protected] to inquire. However, understand that the brewery remains at capacity and any further growth will be aimed at meeting our local needs and existing accounts first. At this time, there are no plans to expand new accounts.

If you are located outside of Vermont, please understand that there are no plans to expand distribution beyond existing markets.

Beer

Our production will not increase in a way that could ever meet the demand. Hill Farmsteadโ€™s focus has been, and will always remain, on quality not quantity with an eye on the local markets.

Beer, General

Please send inquiries to [email protected], but be aware that as weโ€™re currently at capacity, itโ€™s unlikely that weโ€™ll be able to accommodate new events or festivals.

Beer

We love to have live, local music during our events. Contact us at [email protected] with your bandโ€™s information, a link to where we can listen to your music. All music fees are agreed upon before events.

General

Well-supervised and attended children are allowed at the brewery during regular business hours.

Please Note: All of our special events are 21 and older. Children under 12 years old are welcome to join an attendee parent; however, we can’t allow children 13-20 on the grounds during events.
