Fifteen Years!
Fifteen years of dedication to quality and the pursuit of perfection is a cause to celebrate with everyone who has made the journey here—from the loyal locals, enthusiasts, and bloggers to our industry friends and the adventurous tourists—and all those who will join us in the future.
To mark the occasion in true Hill Farmstead fashion, we’re planning several Festivals (as well as collaborations and beer releases) that are sure to be filled with joy, nostalgia, and gratitude. Expect familiar faces, a catalog-spanning curation of offerings, and the unmistakable sense of camaraderie and conviviality that defines our Hill Farmstead community.
While a 15th anniversary might not typically feel monumental, this one is different. Our 10th anniversary celebration never happened. Now, after a five-year delay, we have the chance to come together, reflect on our singular path in craft beer, and revel in the countless memories made along the way. Most importantly, we get to celebrate with you—the people who have been part of this story from the beginning.
The journey has been a flurry of memories, tastes, faces, obstacles, and celebrations. Each year (and week) is a poem unto itself, a collection of words and ideas representing our collective focus, our current purpose, and the unfolding of our journey. As people and places yield to time, the content of these themes changes while the journey and underlying concepts seem to remain the same — some of the old words might be refreshed with newer ones, a new focus and clarity might emerge, and we may gain a new perspective on the past and the origins of our purpose.
To the observer, it may appear to be all about the beer. Yet, truthfully, now I realize that it was (and is still) about the journey to self-discovery, the individual and collective travails that ensue along the path of attempted perfection, and the possibility of arriving at a more cohesive understanding of ourselves through the hard work that is our craft.
Raise a glass with us as we honor the past, embrace the present, and toast to the future—because this celebration is for all of us.
Join us throughout this year to Share. Consider. Enjoy…®
Respectfully,
Shaun Hill, Bob M. Montgomery, and the Hill Farmstead Team
