Birth of Tragedy: Kochere
Imperial Winter Porter with Organic Cinnamon, Vermont Honey, and Coffee, Aged in Bourbon Barrels
We have chosen two barrels of Birth of Tragedy, an imperial porter brewed with organic cinnamon and honey, as the base for this single origin coffee experiment. After aging for 20 months in apple brandy barrels, we conditioned the beer atop Kochere coffee beans from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, which were sourced and roasted by The Coffee Collective in Copenhagen, Denmark. These friends long ago changed our worldview as to what coffee could be.
