Warehouse & Distribution Assistant

Hill Farmstead Brewery is seeking a reliable, organized, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Warehouse & Distribution Assistant—a full-time role responsible for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries to our customers and partners.

This position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to upholding the high standards of quality and care that define our brewery. The Warehouse & Distribution Assistant will play a key role in supporting production, retail, and distribution logistics.

Mission and Primary Focus

  • Ensure the accurate handling, storage, and distribution of Hill Farmstead products.
  • Support seamless coordination between production, retail, and wholesale operations.
  • Represent the brewery professionally and with care during deliveries and vendor interactions.
  • Uphold Hill Farmstead’s commitment to quality, integrity, and community through every aspect of warehouse and distribution operations.

Core Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Receive, organize, and rotate inventory—including kegs, bottles, cans, and packaging materials—in accordance with established protocols.
  • Prepare and palletize shipments for wholesale and retail distribution.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and promptly communicate needs or discrepancies.
  • Keep warehouse spaces clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Assist with packaging operations as needed (kegging, boxing, labeling, etc.).

Delivery & Logistics

  • Safely load, transport, and deliver products to accounts, partners, and events around Vermont.
  • Verify order accuracy upon delivery and collect required documentation or signatures.
  • Operate a medium-duty, 26-foot box truck (no CDL required); experience preferred.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance needs.
  • Represent Hill Farmstead Brewery courteously and professionally at all times.

Cross-Departmental Support

  • Collaborate with Production, Retail, and Administrative teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in ongoing inventory audits and product reconciliation.
  • Support special events and off-site activations as needed through delivery, setup, or logistics coordination.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or delivery (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 160 lbs, with mechanical assistance, safely on a daily basis.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Comfort with basic digital inventory systems.
  • Ability to work in cold environments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently or in a team.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to Hill Farmstead’s values of quality, mindfulness, and integrity.
  • No weekend or evening work required.

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time, hourly position at $25 per hour. This is a non-exempt hourly position eligible for overtime in accordance with federal and state law.

Cellar Person/ Production Member

Hill Farmstead Brewery seeks a talented Brewer who is ready to dive into a collaborative opportunity in Greensboro, Vermont. This position includes joining our production team, executing beer transfers and packaging, and vigilantly ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facility while also demanding deep knowledge and teamwork across all areas of our production environment.
Applicants must possess an excellent palate for tasting and quality control technical prowess; the ability to keep records, clearly communicate, and follow instructions, checklists, and schedules; and a propensity to act as an efficient, positively contributing member of our production team. You will also work closely with company leaders and the hospitality team to implement the company’s vision, values, and dedication to producing superlative beverages.

This position is responsible for contributing to all functions and activities related to beer production post-fermentation.

The position includes two weeks of paid vacation, additional prorated personal time off, paid holidays, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes (and is not limited to) health insurance and retirement savings.

You will welcome and engage with visitors, sharing our innovations, inspirations, and sense of place to ensure a wonderful experience for all guests. A true extrovert, you must be motivated, joyful, and thriving in teamwork! This position involves retail service in the taproom and bottle shop as well as special events, pouring draft beer and bottles, operating point-of-sale systems, and adhering to daily maintenance checklists. You will demonstrate strong craft beer knowledge, participate in an efficient, positive team, and ensure an exceptional guest environment.

Summer Season Barback and Greeters

Hill Farmstead Brewery is looking for seasonal barback and parking attendants for the summer months (May-August). Scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, with the expectation of being available for holiday weeks and special events. Daily shifts may range from 6-10 hours, totaling a minimum of 24 hours to a maximum of 40 hours a week, depending on availability.

Pay rate: $18/hr. Training will be provided for any hire.

Job Requirements/Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide professional, friendly, and courteous service to all customers
  • Direct incoming customers to parking areas or parking spaces
  • Consistently collect, wash, and restock all glasses and barware
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of bar area and taproom
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and presentation of Outdoor areas
  • Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized
  • Perform general duties such as taking out trash, stocking restrooms, and complying with special requests set forth by management
  • Ensure customers are within the designated area for outside drinking with open containers
