15th Anniversary in Review

Looking back to look ahead

Fifteen years.

For that Grand Opening event on May 29, 2010, we were surrounded by friends who weren’t afraid of a dirt road and a sometimes unfindable map pin. Over this past year, we made every effort to honor that beginning with gatherings that felt true to the place and the people who make it possible.

Thank you for showing up, again and again.

The Inaugural Brewday observance on March 30 was a bit of a throwback and a look forward, all at once. Our first Sunday hours, Edward in cask, and history walks bridged old and new. Anniversary Week christened the start of summer and a steady panorama of faces—old and new—and celebrated the day we first opened our doors. It felt like the opening of a steady reunion. June carried us into our 15th Anniversary Festival, a day filled with sunshine, smiles, juggling, and, for good measure, a “celebrity” dunk tank. Our longest-running event, the Festival of Farmhouse Ales, was again awash in sunshine, the clink of vintage toasts, and genuine connection. Autumn closed the arc with the Harvest Festival of Ales and Lagers, a celebration of the season and a nod to a long-ago event. Joined by some close friends who wished to share their own creations, it was a delightful day of blue skies and cheerful camaraderie.

Looking back is only useful if it sharpens the look ahead. The past guides this whole endeavor as it moves deliberately into the future: the continuation of more than two centuries of Hill family work on this land; a tavern sign reimagined as a promise; a close-knit team making every effort to honor that tradition, and those of the beers we create, while keeping an eye on the horizon.

In 2026, we’ll carry that forward, refining the on-site experience, welcoming you back for the Festival of Farmhouse Ales on August 1 and the Harvest Festival of Ales and Lagers on 19 September, and adding a handful of new events and experiences throughout the year. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements on our website and social media, of course.

Different shapes, same aim: time well spent, beer well made, and a place that feels like something a little more special than even “somewhere.”
