Hill Farmstead Brewery Offerings Among World’s Top Ten

GREENSBORO — Hill Farmstead Brewery earned 73 Untappd Community Awards, with 38 Gold, 15 Silver and 20 Bronze, in the second annual Untappd recognition of the world’s best beers. Hill Farmstead Brewing is among the 10 U.S. breweries that produced the highest number of award-winning brews at a state or national level.
Hill Farmstead celebrates its fifteenth year in 2025 with events throughout the year, beginning with Inaugural Brewday, Sunday, March 30, marking 15 years from the day Shaun Hill brewed his first batch of Edward using a cobbled-together brewing rig on his family’s former dairy farm in what was once his grandfather Edward’s detached agricultural shed. The Taproom and Bottle Shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day.
The Untappd Community Awards honors 25,462 of the world’s top-rated beers from 7,033 breweries across the globe.
In the United States, 3,444 breweries brewed a beer winning an Untappd Community Award in at least one style at the national or state level.
Notable gold, first place awards to Hill Farmstead Brewery’s beers in 2024 went to Walden in the Blonde/Golden Ale category, George in the American Brown Ale category, Song of Spring in the Other IPA category and James, an IPA – Black/Cascadian Dark Ale.
Hill’s Walden had ratings from more than 8,000 unique people and its beers have received over two million ratings from more than 214,000 unique people.
Hill Farmstead received more than double the number of awards of the next highest Vermont brewery. Other first place awards for its beers went to an American pale ale, several lagers, stouts, porters, a smoked beer, several IPAs, several pilsners, several Farmhouse Ales, several barleywines and a festbier.
