Bottle Release for 10 July 2019
Thoreau • Civil Disobedience #25
This coming week, we observe the birthday of Henry David Thoreau (his 202nd on July 12), a vibrant swatch in the American tapestry and an essential influence here at Hill Farmstead. We seek daily to intersperse his wisdom within our actions, to guide us towards a simpler, more practical world within which we live and work. — Bob
We should treat our minds, that is, ourselves, as innocent and ingenuous children, whose guardians we are, and be careful what objects and what subjects we thrust on their attention.
– Civil Disobedience & Other Essays
In that spirit, this coming Weds., 10 July, we will introduce the newest in our series of blended barrel-aged Farmstead® Ales: Civil Disobedience #25. Blended in the winter of 2017 and packaged in January 2018, this batch consists of several unique and independent threads—including young wine barrel-aged Anna; an experimental 14 month old buckwheat Farmstead® ale that would lead towards Samuel; mature Juicy; and a developed 14 month wine barrel-aged Sankt Hans—all of which weave together to form a beautiful sensory image greater than the sum of its parts.
Visit our Retail Shop page for bottle limits and pricing information (credit card and matching ID required).
We will also have fresh cans of Marie, Works of Love: Earl Grey, and Society & Solitude #11!
