Onsite Bottle Release For October 17, 2018
On October 15, 1844, educator, philosopher and poet Friedrich Nietzsche was born in Röcken, Germany. As some of you may have recognized, Nietzsche has been more than merely a progenitor of inspirational beer titles. His own introspection and transformative thought was among the grounding forces that would establish the thought patterns and principles that carried our business into existence.
Thus, to celebrate this anniversary, we will offer a special onsite-only variant of our imperial and barrel-aged porter, Birth of Tragedy, beginning on Wednesday, October 17, in our taproom.
After aging for more than 26 months in a bourbon barrel, we further conditioned the beer atop organic vanilla beans and Finca Alasitas Java coffee beans from Bolivia, sourced and roasted by The Coffee Collective in Copenhagen, Denmark. These friends long ago changed our worldview as to what coffee could be and continue to deeply influence us here at Hill Farmstead.
“… all life rests on appearance, art, illusion, optics, the need for perspective and for error…”
Please note: this beer will only be available for enjoyment onsite in our tasting room, not for take away.
We will also have a section of vintage offerings in the onsite cooler, as well as fresh cans of Double Nelson to-go alongside much more.
Best,
Bob and Shaun
