2024 Eclipse Announcements

On April 8, 2024, Hill Farmstead Brewery will join an impressive swath of America along the path of totality for the upcoming total solar eclipse. Please see our updated schedule and information for Monday below!

Tuesday through Saturday of this coming week, our retail hours will be 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

At our location, the partial eclipse will begin at 2:13 p.m., with totality achieved at 3:27 p.m., and wrapping up at 4:38 p.m., which allows us to all raise a toast to this unique celestial event.

UPDATE 8 April 2024:

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this spectacular event. We are so grateful for everyone’s amazing, positive energy for the entire day, and we hope that everyone had as amazing an experience as we did!

UPDATE 5 April 2024:

We were the “lucky” recipients of quite a lot of snow—which would be lovely in January, but in early April, a few days ahead of a massive event, it’s less than ideal!

We will continue to evaluate conditions right through Sunday, but we don’t anticipate being able to open additional parking at this time. That being said, if you are able to be dropped off and not have a vehicle onsite, join us! That doesn’t mean “park down the road and walk up,” though! The roads will be narrow enough with snow/mud, so it will present a public safety issue if people park along the edges of the backroads.

We want to emphasize that we can’t accommodate more vehicles than what we’ve planned for with reservations, and we will need to turn people away from staying for the event. Those of you who come out during the 9:30 – 12:30 retail shop hours will need to move along to alternative viewing locations (a few are below!).

Thank you for your attention and understanding!

UPDATE 4 April 2024:

Hello all!

Here are several important updates as the big event comes into a clearer picture. It’s a lot of information due to the complexity of the event, so we appreciate everyone’s attentiveness in hopes that we can have a smooth and enjoyable day!

A brief schedule of the day and then some expanded information follows that allows for non-reservation to-go purchases during an early 9:30 a.m. opening of the Bottle Shop only:

Schedule (with 30-minute closure during peak Eclipse)

  • 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: To-Go Bottle Shop Only (Open Only to non-Reservation Holders)
  • 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m.,12:30 p.m., and 1:15  p.m.: Reservation-Only Parking
  • 11:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 pm – 5 p.m.: Taproom open to reservation holders only
  • 12 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Bottle Shop open to reservation holders

Retail

We know many of you cannot join us with current parking limitations, but we still want to accommodate folks who would like to buy beer for takeaway.

  • For non-reservation holders, we will offer dedicated Bottle Shop-only hours on Eclipse Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with time-limited parking in the lot nearest the Bottle Shop (we will have staff directing cars accordingly and monitoring).
  • After 12:30 p.m., all parking near the brewery will be converted to Reservation Parking for those arriving afterward.
  • People arriving after 12:30 p.m. without reservations will be accommodated in the Bottle Shop only as much as possible, but we can’t guarantee space. Thanks for your understanding!
  • Those of you with parking reservations who will spend the afternoon with us can purchase your beer to-go at any time from 12:30 to 5 p.m. This will allow us to facilitate non-reservation holders in the bottle shop with as little confusion as possible. We recommend that Eclipse guests purchase their beer later in the day or after 3:45 p.m.
  • Please note that due to the size of the crowd, we will not fill growlers until 3:45 p.m.
  • Both the taproom and the bottle shop will close for 30 minutes at 3:15 p.m., and the doors will be locked. We’ll call a last call 30 minutes in advance for the taproom, but for folks in line at 3:15 p.m., we’ll distribute deli numbers so folks can reassemble after the totality for fairness!

Weather

The weather forecast for later this week includes the likelihood of a good amount of snow, but the outlook for Sunday and Monday looks much improved. We are cautiously optimistic that some portion of our fields will be available. We’ll continue to monitor conditions throughout the weekend in hopes that we can accommodate more visitors!

Parking

After evaluating another parking area, we were able to open additional spots to the waiting list on Monday. Once this upcoming snowstorm has cleared out, we will make the call Saturday afternoon or first thing Sunday morning about releasing additional parking. We realize this is short notice, but this storm’s timing is not optimal and requires flexibility!

Please add your name to the waiting list if you haven’t already done so.  When spots become available, reservations are sent to everyone who has signed up on the waiting list.   https://www.exploretock.com/hillfarmsteadbrewery

We will provide two sets of eclipse glasses per car, so please plan accordingly!

Stay tuned for ongoing updates over the coming few days, and thank you for your understanding!
