Solar Eclipse Update: Parking, Weather, and Releases

Greetings!

Thank you to everyone who made parking reservations and added their names to the waiting list. In the spirit of transparency, we are following up with ongoing updates to keep you all apprised of circumstances as they develop.

Parking

Our parking options at this time of year are limited and subject to Mother Nature’s whims. Under current conditions, we only have 60 trustworthy parking spots, and more than 500 of you fine folks signed up for the newsletter, so it was bound to fill up quickly! If you havenโ€™t already, feel free to add your name to the waiting list, which we will update as soon as possible: https://www.exploretock.com/hillfarmsteadbrewery.ย

Of course, if conditions allow, weโ€™ll open as many spaces as we can safely offer with as much notice as possible.

Weather

We are just under two weeks from the Total Solar Eclipse, but the weather forecast is still highly uncertain. The long-range forecast includes a few more days of rain next week, which doesnโ€™t bode well for opening up additional field parking. However, that being said, weโ€™ll be closely monitoring conditions right up to the weekend in hopes that we can accommodate more visitors!

Releases

We had mentioned a likely release in concert with the eclipse, but with the necessary parking and traffic limitations and being open the entire week, we recognize that this could cause additional issues with an already busy Monday and limited space. Thus, we are releasing these beers next week,ย  April 3, and setting the limits accordingly so that everyone will have access and allocations for several weeks.ย

We will still have freshly canned Edward, Conduct of Life, and Double Motueka beginning that Monday, but we will schedule our new bottle releases starting the Wednesday before (3 April). All of the bottles weโ€™ll announce this coming Saturday will be available through Eclipse week to ensure access to as many visitors as possible without worrying about missing out on Monday, 8 April, due to traffic constraints.

Weโ€™re also exploring the possibility of providing curbside pickup on Eclipse Monday so that folks can still purchase beer despite the limited parking.

Stay tuned for ongoing updates over the coming two weeks, and thank you for your understanding!
