Vera Mae 2020
After a few days of dandelion harvesting, with the help of so many wonderful volunteers, we were able to assemble an impressive quantity of blossoms for the 2021 brewing of Vera Mae. Those who generously gave of their time were thanked with a preview of the 2020 edition of Vera Mae, which we will now make available for curbside retail.
Vera Mae was Edward’s eldest sister, and in her honor, this Farmstead® ale is crafted each year from organically grown grains, hops, Vermont wildflower honey, dandelion flowers from our fields, our farmhouse yeast, and water from our well. This year’s edition was brewed in late May 2020 with flowers harvested by a pandemic restricted but undeterred group of staff. In our standard fashion, it was aged in wine barrels and has since been bottle conditioning. This release offers a particular milestone in Vermont’s seasons and is one of our favorite annual appearances.
Along with Vera Mae, we will have this year’s release of our anniversary American pale ale with Amarillo® and Simcoe® hops, What is Enlightenment?, as well as a fresh batch of Double Citra, both in 16 oz. cans.
