We extend a hearty “thank you” for another outstanding week with so many of you. The vintage tastings have concluded (for now), and we hope everyone who attended enjoyed them as much as we did. They have offered us the opportunity to enjoy a bit of time travel and nostalgia—while sharing a few exceptional offerings with some of you.

Beyond Good & Evil

Beyond Good and Evil is the name of our Bourbon barrel-aged maple imperial stout. Brewed in December of 2018 with characterful additions of malted wheat and Vermont maple syrup, this beer was set to rest in hand-selected Bourbon barrels from our favorite distilleries for nearly two years. Finally, following more than two years of bottle conditioning, this beer is now ready to enjoy.

We encourage you to visit some portion of Friedrich Nietzsche’s 1886 work of the same name, which informs and inspires us and resonates more deeply with each passing day: challenge convention; transcend perilous polarities; and consider the ephemeral nature of human ‘truth’ and ‘knowledge.’

Edward Returns

Our first canned hoppy offering of the year, this batch was brewed with newly arrived, hand-selected organic Centennial hops from Yakima Chief Hops, grown by Roy Farms in Moxee, Wash. With the arrival of our 2021 organic selections from YHC last week, we will begin to integrate organic hops into all our beers. Our goal is to move as much of our hop usage as possible to organic selections, based on availability and crop quality, and we’ll share that journey with you all throughout 2022.

Upcoming Saturday Hours

This Saturday, 5 March, we will open both our bottle shop and taproom, 11:30 – 5 p.m. We’ll be open the first Saturday of each month through the summer: 2 April, 7 May, 4 June, 2 July, 6 August, and 3 September. Reservations for the taproom will still be required so that we can continue to keep the atmosphere convivial and enjoyable for all, and our bottle shop online ordering will be the same on Saturdays as during the week.
