Bottle Updates for 18 June 2025
UPDATE: De Anima Postponed
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we must postpone the release of the newest 15th Anniversary collaboration, De Anima (of the Soul). It appears that UPS rerouted our labels to Dubai.
In the meantime, guests this week can enjoy it by the glass in our taproom all week.
We are deeply sorry for the change of schedule, and we appreciate everyone’s patience while the labels enjoy some international travel!
15th Anniversary Farmstead® Ale • Civil Disobedience: Cherry • Beyond Good & Evil • Brother Soigné
We will offer four new bottles for this coming Anniversary Festival Week, beginning on Wednesday, 18 June.
15th Anniversary De Anima (of the Soul): Shaun Hill and Chad Yacobson
From Shaun:
A sage of balance and quiet thoughtfulness, Chad Yakobson is one of my closest friends, both within the brewing world and beyond. Chad knows more about Brettanomyces than anyone I know. We have traveled the world together and continue to be one another’s favorite travel companions.
He was—and still is—a guide and sounding board to both my journey as the primary steward of Hill Farmstead, as well as my personal soul’s journey. Farmstead® ales might not exist as they do without our friendship.
Together, in November 2023, we assembled this blend—crafted as a superlative expression from the most exceptional barrels in our cellar to honor our 15th Anniversary. These barrels, aged between 16 and 27 months, represent some of our most distinctive and expressive work: barrel-fermented Anna (Ann), barrel-fermented Arthur (Art), Double Honey Ann, Samuel, Anna, Arthur, and Clara.
The label’s color is a deliberate nod to 2012’s Blue Label Arthur—a beer that marked the first consistent emergence of the signature Farmstead® profile, made possible through Chad’s yeast. This blend is both a celebration and a quiet acknowledgment of that shared legacy.
Civil Disobedience: Cherry
This emergence of Civil Disobedience is a blend of barrel-aged Farmstead® ales—aged for between nine and thirteen months—that was aged on cherries from nearby Burtt’s Orchard in Cabot, Vt.
Beyond Good & Evil
Beyond Good and Evil is the name of our Bourbon barrel-aged maple imperial stout. Brewed in January of 2023, we crafted this with malted wheat and Vermont maple syrup. It then rested in hand-selected Bourbon barrels from our favorite distilleries for two years.
