Fifteenth Anniversary!

Retail Update for 1 February 2025

Samuel • Viola Sofia • Harlan • Marie • Society & Solitude #10

Samuel, our barrel-aged Farmstead® ale, returns this week alongside Viola Sofia (our Imperial Stout, which we’ll highlight separately), three additional canned offerings, and a delightfully curated taproom menu for guests visiting us. We’ve announced our 15th anniversary events (check out our other posts and website), with more details and information to follow soon on each event!

We’ll also be participating in the annual Curds & Curling (https://highlandartsvt.org/events/curds-curling/) on Saturday, 8 February, at the Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro, so join us, Jasper Hill Farm, and Barr Hill for a cheesy winter competition!

Samuel

One of our most treasured bottled offerings, Samuel is crafted with a base of buckwheat, spelt, and Vermont wildflower honey, which we then move to wine barrels with the optimism that Edward’s intrepid great-uncle’s namesake beer might emerge fully formed in its own time. Following nearly three years of patient and observant bottle conditioning, we offer another instance of this beer, worthy of Samuel’s name and inspiring memory.

Inspired by two of our favorite Farmstead® ales—Le Sarrasin and Vera Mae—our guiding aspiration is to harmonize each essential expression into a novel representation. Like so many of our Farmstead® offerings, this beer will continue to bottle condition gracefully for the next five (or more) years while unveiling new levels of aromatic and textural complexity.

This release has a two (2) bottle limit per person daily.
