Retail Update for 15 May 2024
Works of Love: Omnipollo • Susan • Double Citra • Ephraim
It’s been quite some time since the last emergence of a Works of Love entry, and we’re particularly delighted by the arrival of this one featuring Omnipollo. Read on for more about the beer and the experience. We’ll also see the return of Susan (IPA), Double Citra, and Ephraim, our triple IPA, to our can coolers and draft lines.
On 17 May at 3 p.m. EST/12 p.m. PST, we’ll offer another direct-to-consumer sale for Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Visit shop.hillfarmstead.com for more information on the selections and specifics for the sale.
Once again, the week of 22 May will mark our 14th anniversary, so we will celebrate by digging deep into our vintage archives to curate a selection of offerings in our taproom and bottle shop, including 3-bottle vintage gift sets, magnums, and more!
Works of Love: Omnipollo
In early April of 2022, Henok Fentie flew to Vermont to spend some time with Shaun with the aim of creating a truly collaborative creation in the spirit of our Works of Love series, one that embraced and highlighted the ethos of each brewery. Henok is the creative brewing force of nature behind Omnipollo, and he brought with him his trademark joy, whimsy, and positivity. The day was filled with creativity, smiles, and optimism that carries us through even today. Even the label is a collaboration between our lifelong friend and designer Alex Peltz and Karl Grandin, Omnipollo’s co-founder and artistic guiding force.
This Works of Love was crafted from a fully organic base of malted barley, oats, raw wheat, spelt, and corn, as well as organic hops, which was then primary fermented in oak puncheons. Following fermentation, the base beer was aged on lees for nine months and then conditioned with wild Maine blueberries and organic vanilla beans, creating a singular expression of each brewery’s vision.
