Retail Update for 22 April 2023
Double Barrel Aaron: Bourbon/Cognac • Anna: Motueka • Song of Spring
For this upcoming week, we will debut a new interpretation of Double Barrel Aaron, our barleywine-style ale, this one aged in Bourbon and then Cognac barrels, spanning four years. Also, Anna: Motueka will return, this time in 750ml format, and Song of Spring takes its seasonal turn on tap for growlers and onsite enjoyment (draft only).
For Double Barrel Aaron, we will allocate bottles each retail day for online ordering (same-day pick-up only). Beginning at 8 a.m. each morning (Weds. – Sat.), our Toast online store will go live (toasttab.com/hillfarmstead/) through which you can place your order.
Double Barrel Aaron
Brewed in February of 2019 and rested for nearly two years in specially selected 12-year Bourbon barrels, the beer found a second stay in freshly emptied Cognac barrels for eighteen additional months. After four years of considered shepherding, his namesake barleywine-style ale has achieved unique harmony, refinement, and complexity. Aaron A. Hill (1785-1869) operated the original tavern in North Greensboro and upon whose original sign the Hill Farmstead Brewery logo is based.
Anna: Motueka
This variation of Anna’s namesake Farmstead® ale is brewed with organic malted barley and Vermont wildflower honey and dry-hopped with personally selected Motueka™ hops grown by Freestyle Hops in Upper Moutere, New Zealand.

- Of First & Last Things – IPA brewed with hand-selected Simcoe®, Motueka™, and Nelson Sauvin hops
