Retail Updates for 23 August 2025

Edith: Mulugeta • Edith: Espresso & Cocoa Nibs • Self-Reliance: Amarillo & Strata • Civic Standard • OFLT • Abner

Leaning further into last week’s Copenhagen connection, on Wed., 3 Sept., we will offer two Coffee Collective editions of our wine barrel-aged dark Farmstead® ale, Edith; a new entry in our India Pale Farmstead® ale, Self-Reliance; the return of our charitable pale ale, Civic Standard; and two additional canned offerings: OFLT (IPA) and Abner (DIPA).

Edith: Mulugeta

This dark Farmstead® ale—which honors Edward’s sister—is crafted from American malted barley, German roasted malts, European hops, our farmhouse yeast, and water from our well. It was aged in a wine barrel for nearly a year, then aged atop coffee grown by Mulugeta Muntasha in Sidama, Ethiopia, sourced and roasted by Casper, Samuli, and friends at The Coffee Collective in Copenhagen. We will have this coffee available for purchase in our retail shop.

Edith: Espresso & Cocoa Nibs

Like the Mulugeta variant, this selection was aged in a wine barrel for nearly a year, but this one was conditioned atop cocoa nibs from Peru, sourced and roasted by Mateo at Prophecy Chocolate in nearby Hardwick, Vt., and Monte Grande coffee from Cajamarca, Peru, sourced and roasted by The Coffee Collective.

Civic Standard

The Civic Standard is a unique combination of cultural organization and community center: outward-facing and open to all forms of communication and engagement. In the spirit of its mission, we once again present its namesake beer, a sensible, enlivening pale ale.

100% of the profits from the sale of this beer at Hill Farmstead will go directly to TCS to bolster its ongoing efforts in strengthening community interconnectedness, as well as to fund its upcoming move to a new home. This will be available in cans and on tap in our taproom.

Self-Reliance: Amarillo & Strata

Ralph Waldo Emerson’s essay “Self-Reliance” inspires and compels our persistent reflection, examination, and refinement. This release of our Farmstead® single-hop India pale ale was brewed in September of 2024, conditioned in oak barrels, and hopped copiously with Amarillo® and Strata®.
