Aaron: Port • Legitimacy • Double Nelson

Hints of winter abound, with snow-capped peaks and a chill in the air—just the weather for the sort of barrel-aged beverage that warms from the inside. This coming week, we will share yet another exploration of Port barrels, this one featuring our barleywine-style ale, plus we’ll have two freshly packaged cans to offer: Legitimacy (IPA) and Double Nelson (DIPA).

Aaron: Port

Aaron A. Hill (1785–1869), Edward’s great-great-grandfather, once kept the original tavern in North Greensboro—the very place whose sign inspired our brewery’s logo. In his honor, we have shaped this barleywine-style ale, allowed to rest—unhurried and undisturbed—for two full years in Port barrels, drawing quietly from the wood the character of place and the patience of its lineage. Structured yet smooth, this beer is a reflection that patience and oak can together impart complexity and depth.

Fresh Cans

• Legitimacy – An American IPA brewed with Citra®,  Motueka, and Simcoe® hops.
• Double Nelson – American Double IPA brewed with hand-selected Nelson Sauvin hops from Freestyle Hops in Upper Moutere, New Zealand.
