Retail Updates for 7 January 2026
Song of Winter • Susan • Abner • Poetica #1
As we greet the new year and savor the fresh snow, we welcome back our ode to the winter season with our chocolate stout, Song of Winter. We’ll also have freshly packaged cans of Susan and Abner, along with the return of Poetica, our Old World German-style Pilsner in growlers and for onsite enjoyment.
Our taproom team has also curated a varied menu of offerings this coming week, including vintage Art by the glass and a selection of smaller-format bottles from our cellars.
Song of Winter
Brewed in the quiet months and shaped by the inward turn of the season, this chocolate stout is made with an abundant addition of fresh cacao nibs sourced and roasted by our neighbors at Prophecy Chocolate in Morrisville, Vt.
Prophecy works directly with indigenous family farmers in the remote valleys of Cusco, Peru, cultivating an ancient heirloom cacao known as Chuncho—“native” in the Quechua language. Fed by Andean rainfall and clear mountain streams, and grown using wholly traditional, chemical-free practices, this cacao offers gentle depth and balance, with softly expressive aromatics.
A considered use of cacao from distant forests, set against the depth of winter.
Poetica #1
A portion of Mary, our German-style Pilsner, is lagered in a single French oak puncheon for nearly three months and then gently carbonated naturally via krausen with fresh fermenting beer. After further conditioning, we present you with a softened, refined, and elevated expression of Mary.
