Farmstead® Ale Brewed with HBC 586 Hops and Aged in an Oak Puncheon
Our continuing Self-Reliance series of Farmstead® single-hop India pale ales provides us a setting in which to explore the interplay between our Farmstead® ale yeast and various hops, including experimental varieties.
This new release was brewed in early April 2020, conditioned in our puncheons for nearly five months, and hopped exclusively with HBC 586. This experimental hop cultivar, developed by the Hop Breeding Co., is perhaps our favorite HBC varietal in the last eight years—since the release of Mosaic (HBC 369).
