16 June 2021 Curbside Retail Offerings

While it has alternately felt like mid-summer and late winter in the last month, it is most certainly still spring here in Vermont. As such, we mark the seasonal shift each yearโ€”as we have since 2011โ€”with the release of E.

The moniker E. represents a number of concepts. First and foremost, it is for Edward (1917-2002), Shaunโ€™s grandfather, as well as the name of the first beer brewed at the brewery on March 30, 2010. Secondly, brewing in Denmark revealed a European tradition of crafting Easter (Pรฅske) beer, so in years past, E. has signified and marked Easter; although it arrives well after the holiday this year. Finally, and most integrally to us all here, E. optimistically embodies entelechy, the continued actualization of our potential through spirited effort and vision.ย

Thus, in honor of this multi-layered physical and symbolic representation, to the past and future emprises here on Hill Road, we offer this distinctive beer: Edward fermented with our Farmsteadยฎ yeast; conditioned for nearly a year in oak barrels; dry-hopped with Amarilloยฎ, Galaxyโ„ข, and Simcoeยฎ; and bottle conditioning since November of 2020.

We will also offer fresh cans of Edwardโ€™s namesake American Pale Ale, as well as freshly packaged cans of our American Brown Ale, George. A selection of bottles to-go will also be available for curbside retail, including Port Damon, Soignรฉe Cherry/Raspberry, and Florence: Foudre, amongst others. Visit our online retail shop for complete information and to order for curbside pick-up.
