Curbside for 11 November 2020
For the coming week of 11 November, we will debut a new entry in our Self-Reliance series, more Poetica #3 2L growlers, and three new can offerings: Susan, Society & Solitude #8, and Society & Solitude #2
Self-Reliance: Pacifica
Our ongoing Self-Reliance series of Farmstead® single-hop India pale ales provides a platform to explore the interplay between our Farmstead® ale yeast and various hops, including lesser-known or experimental varieties.
For this next iteration, we showcase hand-selected Pacifica hops from the 2019 harvest at Freestyle Farm—our agricultural partner in Upper Moutere, New Zealand. The subtle, lightly citrus hop character accentuates and enlivens the spritely, refined acidity.
Poetica #3
We will again offer 2L glass growler fills of Poetica #3. These will only be available with the purchase of new glass.
Our Czech-inspired pilsner is brewed with a single decoction mash process, Czech Saaz hops, fermented with both Czech and German lager yeast, and then conditioned in French oak puncheons. After three months of cold conditioning, the beer is krausened with fresh fermenting lager for natural carbonation, then conditioned in kegs for many more months. We present you with a beautifully softened, refined, and elevated representation of pilsner.
Susan, Society & Solitude #8, and Society & Solitude #2
This week’s can offerings for curbside will include fresh batches of Susan, our ancestral IPA, and Society & Solitude #8, our double IPA brewed with Citra®, Mosaic®, and Simcoe® hops.
We will also offer a new batch of Society & Solitude #2, our imperial black IPA. We copiously hopped this robust, dark ale with Simcoe® and Columbus at the same hopping rates as Ephraim—highlighted by subtle roasty notes and soft, pleasurable carbonation.
