Samuel • Double Galaxy • Upcoming Retail Hours
We will offer another appearance of Samuel, our wine barrel-aged Farmstead® ale, along with freshly packaged Double Galaxy cans for the coming week.
Like previous manifestations, Samuel features a base of organic buckwheat, organic spelt, and Vermont wildflower honey. Samuel is constructed and imagined with the inspiration of two of our favorite Farmstead® ales: Le Sarrasin and Vera Mae. Each occurrence of this blend aspires to harmonize the essential expression of each into an evolving and novel representation. Following shifting seasons of rest in wine barrels and more than a year of bottle conditioning, we present a beer worthy of Samuel’s inspiring memory. This beer can continue to bottle condition gracefully for the next 5 (or more) years while continuing to unveil new levels of aromatic and textural complexity. There is a one (1) bottle limit for this release, and we will allocate some for each day to ensure availability through the week. Our ordering system isn’t capable of imposing limits, so please only order one bottle per person in total. With the limited nature of this release, our normal retail shop online ordering opens at Weds. 7 a.m. (not 5 a.m.) for the duration of Samuel’s tenure, so that we can ensure as smooth a process as possible.
We look forward to seeing many of our Canadian friends on Saturday, 4 December, with retail shop hours from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m and taproom hours from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (no reservations required for this day only). For the week of Christmas, 22-24 December, our retail shop will be open Weds., Thurs., and Fri., 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Our taproom will be closed that week.
Also, a reminder that we will be closed from 25 December through the end of January 2022 for our winter break. Stay tuned for more details on that in the coming weeks.
Finally, a hearty “thank you” to the team at Beverage Warehouse and their 7th Annual Hops-4-Hunger fundraiser, which helped raise over $1500 for the Sheffield Food Pantry, Orleans Food Pantry, and Woodbury/Calais Food Shelf.
