Bottle Releases for 21 July 2021
As mentioned in our other post this week, weโll debut two new beers:ย
Nonconformist 01
This brand new series promises to include a wide-ranging assortment of blended beers, exploratory aging techniques, and distinctive ingredient pairings, with imaginative artwork by our life-long friend and collaborator, Alex Peltz of Peltz Creative. For the series debut, we offer Nonconformist 01, a Farmsteadยฎ India Pale Ale brewed with organic Maine wheat, organic flaked oats, and generously hopped and then dry-hopped with Citraยฎ, Simcoeยฎ, Mosaicยฎ, and Hallertau Blanc. Conditioned in oak barrels for 11 months, it has been allowed more than two years of bottle conditioning prior to release.
Cherry/Raspberry: 2019 Harvest
As we more fully embrace the characteristics of each fruit that we source, we have somewhat reimagined our fruited Farmsteadยฎ ales program. To more prominently represent those fruits and the variation of each harvest season, we let the fruit and our learning from past experiences guide us in selecting from our range of barrel-aged Farmsteadยฎ alesโsometimes this will be a single base beer, other times it may be a blend of different barrelsโall with the goal of best expressing the fruitโs unique aspects. In this instance, we have blended Montmorency cherries from Allenholm in South Hero, Vt., and red raspberries from Elmore Roots in Wolcott, Vt., with a number of sympathetic barrels of Farmsteadยฎ ale to provide a thoughtful representation of the fruits in season.
A reminder that we will also have freshly packaged cans of Harlan, our American India Pale Ale, and Marie, our German-style Helles brewed entirely with organic malt. Please visit our website for more information and links to order.
Thank you again!
