Hill Farmstead Retail Update for 13 July 2022

Blueberry Harvest 2020 • Return of Susan Cans •  New Draft Beers

Summer has arrived in full swing to the Northeast Kingdom, and we’re all glad for longer days, sweeping green vistas, and the promise of convivial gatherings. Farm to Fire pizza will return as our food truck this coming week, from Thursday through Saturday; if you’re joining us Wednesday, we’ll still have cheese plates and olives, but we certainly welcome guests to bring along a picnic lunch to enjoy any day!

To celebrate the growing season readily upon us, we will offer Blueberry: Harvest 2020 bottles, restock our can coolers with Edward and Susan, and debut two new variations of our exploratory IPA series, Difference & Repetition.

Blueberry Harvest 2020

Next in our series of fruit harvest selections, we paired a blend of our Farmstead® ales—all of which rested in oak for more than 20 months—with organic wild Maine blueberries from Merrill Blueberry Farms in Hancock, Maine. This harmonized occurrence has rested in the bottle since May 2021, achieving its balance of complex acidity and seasonal fruit representation.

Our bottle selection will also feature Nonconformist 04; Genealogy of Morals: Planadas; Self-Reliance: Cascade; Arthur: Foudre; and Barrel-Aged Table Dorothy, as well as occasional guest offerings.

Cans

Susan, our American IPA, returns to our can line up this week, along with a refresh of Edward cans. Our can selection will also include…

  • Mary, our unfiltered German-style lager brewed with organic malted barley
  • Nelson Single Hop Pale Ale, American Single Hop Pale Ale
  • Abner, our American Imperial IPA brewed with a plethora of hops, including Amarillo® and hand-selected organically grown Simcoe® from Perrault Farms in Moxee, Wash.
  • Double Citra, American Imperial India Pale Ale with organic Citra® hops

New Taproom Draft

Our summer outdoor pour station rolls on with glass pours of Edward, Memoria, and Susan, as well as rotating options depending on the week. This option is available for walk-in guests and reservation holders alike! Picking up an order in the bottle shop? It’s now just a few steps away to enjoy a glass of beer outside beneath the tent.

Our taproom draft offerings for this week’s upcoming reservation service will include Edward, Rhetorica, Memoria, vintage Farmstead® ales, and more.
