Retail Update for 13 November 2024

The Order of Things 04 • New Cans • Upcoming Direct-to-Consumer Sale

This upcoming week, we introduce the fourth entry in our ongoing blended double barrel-aged aged collection, as well as freshly packaged cans and drafts of Harlan (IPA), Excursions: Southland Nelson (IPA), and Twilight of the Idols (Holiday Winter Porter). On Thursday, November 15, we will also offer our next round of home delivery sales for Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia, and the District of Columbia (visit shop.hillfarmstead.com for more information).

The Order of Things 04

This tryptic assembly—our fourth of the sequence— is composed of Genealogy of Morals that enjoyed 18 months in Bourbon barrels and was then divided into a Saxon’s River Distillery Sapling Honey Bourbon barrel and a Saxon’s River Distillery Sapling Maple Liqueur barrel for nine months each, and a single barrel of Damon rested first in Bourbon barrels for 34 months then secondarily in an Elijah Craig 18-Year barrel for an additional six months. The curated blend was then conditioned atop a blend of vanilla beans from Ecuador, Madagascar, Tahiti, and Papua New Guinea.

Michel Foucault’s The Order of Things explores truth, temporal contextualization, and epistemic assumptions and provides the impetus with which we recognize the necessity for conscious examination of knowledge. In that spirit, we offer a collection that features unique blends of double residency stouts and porters—barrel-aged and thoughtfully woven together—with an optimistic projection of a layered, novel, complex result.
