Retail Update for 15 February 2025

Self-Reliance: Citra/Mosaic • Anna: Motueka • Motueka Pale Ale • Three Magic Letters • Society & Solitude #3

For the coming week, we will present two new bottles and three new canned offerings in our retail shop, plus Pie Empire will join us in the taproom on Saturday, 22 February, with their delectable hand pies!

Blanketed with fresh snow across the area, this week’s selections offer an excellent counterpoint to the brisk chill of this outstanding Vermont winter. In a delightful bit of kismet, we’ll offer two expressions of our hand-selected Motueka hops—a Farmstead® ale and a single-hop pale ale—each of which provides an opportunity to enjoy how different processes (fermentation, conditioning, and packaging)  can bring out the unique characteristics of a particular hop.

We’ll also refresh our can coolers and draft offerings with Motueka Pale Ale, Three Magic Letters (IPA), and Society & Solitude #3 (DIPA).

Self-Reliance: Citra®/Mosaic®

Conditioned for four months in our oak puncheons, this was brewed and copiously hopped with hand-selected Citra® and Mosaic® hops from Washington’s Yakima Valley.

Ralph Waldo Emerson’s essay upon which the series is named emphatically encourages us towards introspection: reflect, review, and refine. At fewer than a dozen pages during the heart of the winter, this is a fine time to join us in reading the essay. It is available for free download or to read at https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Essays:_First_Series/Self-Reliance.

Anna: Motueka

This edition of our honey Farmstead® ale is crafted from organic malted barley, Vermont wildflower honey; our distinctive farmhouse yeast; and water from our well. It was then amply dry-hopped with our unique lot of Motueka™ hops grown by Freestyle Farms in Upper Moutere, New Zealand.

Please visit our website for the week’s can, bottle, and growler offerings.
