Retail Update for 17 June 2023
Sankt • Song of Summer • George • Double Riwaka • Mary • Food Trucks
Our barrel-aged honorarium to the Summer Solstice, Sankt, will make a reemergence this coming week in our bottle shop, alongside a full slate of freshly canned offerings, including the seasonal return of Song of Summer, plus George, Double Riwaka, and Mary.
We’ll be joined again by Smoking Somethin’ BBQ (Weds.), as well as a brand new vendor, Mexi-Rico (Thurs./Fri./Sat.).
Sankt
Since June 2012, Sankt Hans has been an ongoing entry of our Farmstead® ale collection. Over the course of the last decade, the wine barrel-aged version of this amber Farmstead® ale has contributed to some of our favorite blends in the Civil Disobedience series. Once again, we have selected the most singular of these barrels in order for the beer to be experienced on its own, this time in a 375ml format.
Brewed and placed into barrels in the autumn of 2019, this resided for more than fifteen months in wine barrels that had previously played host to Flora, Dorothy, and Art, amongst others, proffering a refined and more expressive version of Sankt Hans. Benefiting from more than two years of bottle conditioning, we hope that you might enjoy how our favorite blending beer tastes in its singular state.
Song of Summer
We offer up this seasonal and local pale ale in parallel with its namesake season. Brewed with organic raw wheat from Morningstar Farm in Glover, this year we hopped with Centennial, Cascade, and Columbus hops from Whitefield Hop Yard in nearby Hardwick, as well as Chinook from Champlain Valley Hops. We present our Song of Summer to you, so that you may celebrate with us the fleeting Northeast Kingdom summer and the harvest of seasons past.
Our retail shop’s bottle selection will also include Viola Sofia; Vera Mae 2022; Pear: 2021 Harvest; Works of Love: Russian River Brewing/The Lost Abbey; Sankt Hans; Wheat Blanc; Nonconformist 07; and guest offerings.
Additional canned offerings include Sumner (Pale Ale), Susan (IPA), Abner (DIPA), Society & Solitude #4 (DIPA), Marie (German-style Helles), and Mary (German-style Pilsner).
