We’ll debut two novel interpretations of Brother Soigné, our Farmstead® ale with lime and blood orange, alongside freshly packaged cans and draft of Nelson Single Hop Pale Ale, Abner (DIPA), and Mary. Our taproom selections on draft and by the bottle-pour will once again feature a curated selection of vintage items from across our catalog.

Starting Wednesday, 19 June, Smokin’ Joe’s will be our food truck on-site every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Brother Soigné

In the early spring of 2013, our friend Luc “Bim” Lafontaine traveled from Japan, where he was brewing at the time. More than a decade later, we continue to revisit this fond memory through the recreation of the beer first brewed with him.

From time to time, happenstance and whimsy converge to offer different expressions of this ale of mixed fermentation with lime and blood orange. In this case, two unique barrels arrived, each sympathetic to Brother Soigné’s characteristics.

The first saw a portion of Brother Soigné aged in freshly emptied London-Style Lime Gin barrels; the second portion was aged in freshly emptied Oaxacan Mezcal barrels that previously held white wine.

These ales continue to embody the spirit of perpetual creative collaboration in conjunction with disciplined brewing endeavors.

We will sell these 375ml bottles as a set of two (2) in our bottle shop.

In the Retail Shop

We’ll have freshly packaged cans of (UPDATE) Edward, Nelson Single Hop Pale Ale, Abner (DIPA), and Mary (German-style Pilsner), alongside Dharma Bum (IPA), Harlan (IPA), Double Riwaka (IPA), Everett (Porter), and George (Brown Ale). Our varied bottle selection includes Farmer Wave; The Order of Things 01, 02, and 03; Biere de Norma; Daybreak; Works of Love: Omnipollo; Wheat Blanc; and Self-Reliance, amongst others.
