Phenomenology of Spirit
The origin of this unique beer dates back to our beginnings in 2010, when in September of 2010, this was our first collaborative Farmstead® ale. Since then, each batch of this beer often takes a slightly different path and explores various techniques (2013’s version was cool-shipped and spontaneously fermented) to try to reach a new representation of the form: a complex, dark Farmstead® ale with restrained, balanced acidity. This edition is composed of a blend of wine barrels and first-use Port wine barrels, each of which was conditioned with our resident microflora for just over a year.
Taproom selections for the coming week will include Flora (2020 Vintage) and Damon (2019 Vintage).
