Since introducing our seasonal “Song of…” collection in 2013, the fall representation has appeared as a Red IPA, reflecting the colors of the landscape around us. For this year’s edition, we took a different path, brewing an IPA with wheat that focused entirely on the availability of whole-leaf local hops. No longer a red IPA, this new iteration captures the vibrancy of summer’s sun while highlighting the harvest’s bounty. 

Taking full advantage of the proximity of the hop harvest at Whitefield Hopyard in East Hardwick, Vt., we coordinated with Kevin and Karen Broderick to select Vermont-grown Centennial hops at their peak expression. Those whole-leaf hops were dried in their in-house kiln and then used both during the brew process and for dry-hopping, bringing forth a balance of bright, citrus aromatics and deep, resinous character. 

This will be available here at the brewery in cans and on draft beginning Wednesday, 16 September.
