The Order of Things 05
Blended Double-Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout with Vanilla Beans
Michel Foucault’s The Order of Things explores truth, temporal contextualization, and epistemic assumptions and provides the impetus with which we recognize the necessity for conscious examination of knowledge. In that spirit, we offer a collection that features unique blends of double residency stouts and porters—barrel-aged and thoughtfully woven together—with an optimistic projection of a layered, novel, complex result.
This entry in our blended double-barrel aged series is composed of two threads: A portion of our cherished imperial stout, Damon, rested for 24 months in Bourbon barrels and then spent 18 additional months divided between Bourbon barrels from two different distilleries; this was then blended with an imperial stout aged for 14 months in a Privateer Rum barrel. The curated blend was then conditioned atop a blend of vanilla beans from Ecuador, Tahiti, and Uganda.
