Anniversary Week Bottle Releases

Hill Farmstead Brewery’s annual Anniversary Week takes place from Wednesday, May 27, to Sunday, May 31. Please see our Anniversary Week post from today for additional details.

The Order of Things 6

This sixth entry in our blended double-barrel aged series was debuted at our Winter Gathering under the moniker Pour #3. It is composed of three elements:  A portion of our cherished Imperial Stout, Damon, rested for 18 months in a Port barrel and then spent 16 additional months in a Whiskey barrel from WhistlePig Whiskey; our Viola Sofia Imperial Stout aged for 30 months in a Bourbon barrel; and one barrel of Aaron, our Barleywine-style ale, also aged for 30 months in a Bourbon barrel, then moved to a Whiskey barrel from WhistlePig Whiskey. The curated blend was then conditioned atop organic Madagascar vanilla beans.

Flora: Plum

Flora is the wine barrel-aged version of Florence (1915-1967), Edward’s sister, as well as the name of our wheat Farmstead® ale. On occasion, a portion of Flora is selected to age on a blend of local plum varieties as a means of highlighting the sympathetic natures of beer in barrel and fruit in season. This edition features seven varieties of plums cultivated and harvested at Elmore Roots in nearby Elmore, Vt.

Fear & Trembling

Fear and Trembling is a Baltic-style porter brewed with in-house smoked malt, first brewed with friend and former colleague, Anders Kissmeyer. This version was fermented in the traditional way, with lager yeast, and conditioned in stainless steel.
