Self-Reliance: Vermont-Grown Cascade

This entry in our explorative series of Farmstead® India Pale Ales was brewed in October of 2020 entirely with cascade hops grown by our neighbors Kevin and Karen Broderick of Whitefield Hop Yard in nearby East Hardwick. This spent seven months in our puncheons prior to additional dry-hopping with that same cascade and has conditioned in bottle since.

Arthur: Foudre

This edition of our Farmstead® ale matured for over six months in our oak foudres and has been bottle conditioning since October 2020 (16 months).

Blueberry/Raspberry: Harvest 2020

The next in our series of harvest season selections features a blend of our Farmstead® ales—all of which rested in oak for more than a year—harmonized with organic blueberries from Merrill Blueberry Farms in Ellsworth, Maine, and red raspberries Fisher Brothers Farm in Shelburne, Vt., from the 2020 harvest season.⁣

Aaron: Bourbon/Cognac

We blended this iteration of our barleywine-style ale from two separate collections of barrels to create a new representation. The first assembly rested for over two years in Bourbon barrels from our favorite distillery. The second portion spent nearly a year in freshly-emptied Cognac barrels. The final blend expresses a two-fold harmony of refinement and complexity.

This week we will also have freshly packaged cans of Marie, our German-style Helles lager brewed entirely with organic malted barley. This particular batch has also enjoyed an extended three-month lagering period.

These new offerings will join a range of bottle offerings that includes Barrel-Aged Earl, Raspberry: 2020 Harvest; Charlie; and Phenomenology of Spirit.
