Flora • Susan • Double Motueka

It has been two years since the last release of Flora, the wine barrel-aged expression of Florence, our wheat Farmstead® ale. As with all of our wine barrel-aged Farmstead® ales, each arrives in its own time, representation, and uniqueness, and this Flora is no exception—though it is undoubtedly exceptional. 

Initially brewed in Spring 2017—then rested in wine barrels for over a year—its pilgrimage from brewday to sharing has mirrored many of our other 2017 offerings, that of an extended and dramatic journey. Following more than six years of coalescence in its bottle, this has achieved spectacularly, moving us to wax this instance of her namesake beer (a first!). Its features echo both early Clover vintages and the 2013 iteration of Flora herself (specifically, the much-lauded “batch 5”).

We will offer this at a limit of two (2) per person per day at $50 each. Bottles will be available throughout the week, both for online ordering and walk-up in our bottle shop. We make every effort to ensure that limited releases are available for a two-week period, and this should be no different.

As with our other limited-release offerings, we will also have this available in our taproom by the glass at our traditional release period pricing!

Also, in the spirit of the season, we will allow additional purchases of The Order of Things 04—beyond the duration limit—for those who may have previously visited during its initial release.

Guests will also find freshly packaged cans and drafts of Susan (IPA) and Double Motueka (DIPA), and we encourage you to visit our website for the week’s other can, bottle, and growler offerings.
