Flora: Cherry • Song of Spring • Abner • Everett • Inaugural Brewday

In the spirit of the season ahead, the vernal entry marking the spring chapter of nature’s story—Song of Spring—returns to cans and draft, alongside an ebullient expression of Flora and two additional canned offerings in Abner and Everett!

Flora: Cherry

Nearly every year, we receive a bounty of fruit from farms in the local area, including Burtt’s Apple Orchard in nearby Cabot. This year, we received a bumper crop of Balaton and Juliet variety cherries upon which we could condition a blend Flora—our wheat Farmstead® ale aged in wine barrels—for over two months, allowing for a singular integration of fruit terroir and elegant and balanced acidity. This particular assembly of Flora was crafted with organic Vermont wheat and then rested for nearly a year in our lineage wine barrels before pairing with the year’s ruby red harvest.

Inaugural Brewday

Our 15th Anniversary Inaugural Brew Day celebration also approaches on Sunday, March 30. We will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to all who wish to mark this pivotal moment with us. In its honor, our offerings will center around the brewing of our first beer, Edward.

In the taproom, we will pour Edward, a cask-conditioned Double Dry Hopped version of Edward, and the debut of a yet-to-be-released special onsite offering exclusive to visitors on this occasion. For the first time, we plan to have 15cl pours of Abner (the second beer brewed in our brewery and a “double-Edward”) on tap to round out the lineup.

We’ll also have a few vintage pours and selected bottles from our archives for retail purchase. 

Caja Madera will join us in their creative take on Mexican-style street fare. Tickets to our guided tours are sold out already, but we welcome all visitors to stop by for this celebration of our origins and a day of historical reflection at Hill Farmstead.
