Retail Update for 8 March 2023
Aaron Grand Cru • Edward • Citra Pale Ale • Mosaic IPA • Build-Your-Own-Box
Snow! It may be meteorological spring, but winter is really just getting started here in the Northeast Kingdom. For this upcoming week, we’ll debut a singular expression of Aaron, our barleywine-style ale; refresh our can coolers and draft lines with Edward, Citra Single Hop Pale Ale, and Mosaic IPA; and make available another round of build-your-own boxes for home delivery in Ore., Pa., Vt., Va., and D.C.
Aaron Grand Cru
As with other ancestral expressions, we may rarely discover a single barrel whose journey and resultant character most closely embodies our envisioned form for its namesake beer. This edition of Aaron, our barleywine-style ale, rested for nearly three years in a single Bourbon barrel, harmonizing in time and place, and then conditioned in the bottle for more than two years. To such a fortuitous discovery, we grant the moniker Grand Cru, representing our most optimistic realization of intention, patience, and the whim of wood.
We will allocate bottles each retail day for online ordering (same-day pick-up only). Beginning at 8 a.m. each retail morning (Weds., Thurs., Fri., and Sat. only), our Toast online store will go live (toasttab.com/hillfarmstead/) through which you can place your order. There is a strict limit of 1 bottle per person (375ml), which applies for the duration of the release, not each day. Any orders with more than one (1) bottle of Aaron will be reduced to the limit, and duplicate orders will be canceled.
Aaron A. Hill (1785-1869) was Edward’s great-grandfather, who operated the original tavern in North Greensboro, upon whose earliest sign our logo is based, and whose memory we honor with our barleywine-style ale.
We will also offer onsite pours in our taproom while supplies last. However, given the limited number of bottles available, we can’t guarantee that onsite pours will last the entire week.
Build-Your-Own 6-Bottle Box
We will offer another round of direct-to-consumer, a la carte shipments for Vermont, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., residents.
On Tuesday, 7 March, at 10 a.m., we will make available a build-your-own six-bottle box of our bottled Farmstead® ales. Visit shop.hillfarmstead.com for information and specific offerings.
