Samuel for the Week of 19 August 2026
Samuel returns this coming week, available in our retail shop and by the glass in our taproom. This singular beer is composed of buckwheat, spelt, and Vermont wildflower honey; fermented with our Farmstead® yeast, it experiences an extended rest in wine barrels. Guided by the kindred spirit of Le Sarrasin and Vera Mae, it carries elements of each while arriving at an identity entirely its own.
This release has spent more than three years slowly conditioning in the bottle. That intentional passage has allowed the beer to gather depth, texture, and aromatic complexity—and its evolution will continue for years to come.
Samuel takes its name from Samuel Hill (1820–1899), Edward’s great-uncle and brother of Ephraim. A farmer, inventor, Union Army veteran, and tireless contributor to his community, his life was defined by ingenuity, perseverance, and an intrepid spirit. It is in honor of that enduring legacy that we offer Samuel anew.
This release has a three (3) bottle limit per person daily.
