The Week of 2 September

Oat Farmstead® Ale • Difference & Repetition: Nectaron®/Simcoe® • Harlan • Abner

This week finds us with two new offerings, one within our Farmstead® ale canon and the second as part of our longtime exploratory hoppy series, Difference & Repetition.

Oat Farmstead® Ale

This Farmstead® ale is composed entirely from organically grown Maine oats and was aged for nearly 10 months in an oak puncheon and hopped with Vermont-grown Cascade from Champlain Valley Hops in Starksboro, Vt. The result is a textured, delicately tart ale with notes of lemon, oak, and a restrained floral character, while reflecting our ongoing exploration of techniques and source materials.

Difference & Repetition: Nectaron®/Simcoe®

A new entry in our exploratory series of IPAs, this one features Nectaron® by Freestyle, grown and processed by Freestyle Hops in the Waimea Plains of New Zealand. Developed by NZ Hops and Plant & Food Research, it brings notes of passionfruit, stonefruit, sweet citrus, and pineapple.

Additional Cans for the Week:

  • Harlan – Vermont IPA copiously dry-hopped with Columbus, Simcoe®, Chinook, and a hint of Nelson Sauvin hops.
  • Abner – Vermont Double IPA brewed with a selection of our favorite hops from the Pacific Northwest.

Additional taproom selections for the coming week will include Art (2020 Vintage) and Barrel-Aged Earl: Finca Vista Hermosa (2020 Vintage).

Guest Food Vendor this week: Bobber’s Seafood.
